Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Rameez Raja started making efforts for Pakistan-India cricket series. He said that he had talked to BCCI President Saro Ganguly regarding cricket between Pakistan and India.
“I have spoken to Saro Kongoli and I tell him that there are 3 cricketers who are part of the boards at the moment,” Rameez Raja told a news conference. There are ‘interests’ between the Pakistan and India series facing the Indian Cricket Board.
The PCB chairman said that he had been invited to the IPL twice by Ganguly. There are cracks that will take time to heal. This is a political issue, if it was a cricket issue, it would have been solved by now.
Speaking about the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia in October and November this year, the PCB chairman said that he intended to re-appoint former Australian batsman Matthew Hayden as the batting coach of the Pakistan team. We will re-engage Matthew Hayden for the World Cup because of the benefit of local information.
